Dharamshala.co recently held an exciting workshop for Polytechnic College Kangra students, providing hands-on training on web development and WordPress. Led by experienced tech lead Mukesh, the workshop was an opportunity for participants to learn the basics of web development and create their own responsive websites using WordPress.
The one-day workshop was designed to introduce the students to the world of WordPress and equip them with essential web development skills. The event was a great success, with positive feedback from participants and organizers alike.
The workshop covered a range of topics, including an introduction to WordPress and its features, understanding the basics of web development, creating a website using WordPress, customizing the website with themes and plugins, and understanding the importance of responsive web design.
The first session of the workshop introduced students to the fundamentals of WordPress and its features. Participants learned how to install WordPress, navigate the WordPress dashboard, and manage website content.
The second session covered the basics of web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Students were taught how to write code and use the tools necessary to create and customize websites.
In the third session, students got hands-on experience creating a website using WordPress. They learned how to select a theme, customize the site’s appearance, and add content.
The fourth session was all about customizing the website with themes and plugins. Students learned how to extend the functionality of their website by installing and configuring plugins, as well as how to customize the look and feel of the site by choosing and customizing themes.
Finally, the workshop concluded with a session on responsive web design. Participants learned why it’s important to design websites that look great and function well on all devices, from desktop computers to smartphones.
The workshop was a fantastic opportunity for students to learn essential web development skills in a fun and supportive environment. Participants left the workshop feeling inspired and confident in their ability to create beautiful and functional websites.
